Greater use of composite materials, More thrust to weight ratio, More maneuverability, More armament options and continues....

Deka don't need to change anything just some parameters and it is done, Block 2

There’s a few non trivial things to make. The landing lights are LED, they need documentation on KLJ-7 V2(exactly what’s different)

But what I’m wondering, where did you get better maneuverability and thrust to weight? Block II has nothing to with that. If you mean the composite, yeah there’s a few extra composite exterior panels* but no one including PAC has ever listed a weight difference between the two blocks. I’m sure there’s something super small but I wouldn’t get your hopes up thinking a few extra composite panels are going to make an appreciable maneuverability/thrust to weight difference in DCS

*Oh and what I said in the other thread. Let me say that again but with more detail after a quick look. There has been exactly one block 2 JF-17 I have seen a photo of with more green paneling in its unpainted primed pre-paint finish then the other block 2s. It is 2P60, so as the 60th block 2 it is one of the latest, and is likely headed for the Nigerian Air Force. Who knows if this is like the JF-17B where it has many features that bridge with block 3 like 3 axis fly by optic system. So basically what I’m saying the few extra composite panels we see in that picture is not representative of the PAF JF-17 block 2 or likely the Chinese test birds that are block II standard, so even if Deka did it what small weight savings there might be may not even be modeled. So don’t get your hopes up

While there isn’t that much else to change other then the radar and payload increase I think, it’s not a lot, but block 1 still isn’t done, and to me sounds much better as something they do as an upgrade after their next module:music_whistling:

I know there used to be plans for OBOGS and a third radio, but from what I hear here that never happened for block 2 yet, I’m sure the JF-17B and the new Nigerian birds might have them, but who knows
