F-18 Keyboard assistance

Hey guys, first post so please be nice :)

 

I did a search before asking and nothing has helped me.

 

So i have been running the training missions on the F-18 and i got to the MG training mission this morning and the keyboard just stopped functioning.

 

I have tried everything from running the DCS beta repair, uninstalling the module, different keyboard (at this point i must say i am using a laptop)

 

When i play Flaming cliffs it works fine, it is just the F-18

 

things that are working

1)ALT C

2) Esc

 

Please can anyone help me?

Does it work in dcs > options > controls in the F-18C category? Does it work in other Hornet missions?

During training missions you frequently has to listen to the tutorial and press space or do sth to move on until you are given control of the aircraft.

Hello mate, thanks for the reply, so it doesnt work in any mission or even instant action.

 

It does however register in the menu controls. So if i click G it snaps straight to "gear down"

And that G doesn't work in Instant action Hornet mission when in the air? What about flight controls?

 

An idea to try is to rename the /saved games/dcs/config/input/f-18c/keyboard.diff.lua file.

As of 1700 I completely uninstalled and I am currently reinstalling, I will keep you posted.

I am new as well and having the same problem. Training keyboard commands and Thrustmaster Cougar HOTAS and CH Pro Pedals all work great. Go to a mission, instant action, or campaign keyboard command and button simple don't work. I can verify in the Adjust Controls. but no joy in flight. For example throttle idle on cold and dark start ups, G for gear, to buttons on the HOTAS. Axis control and throttle seems the most constant. Ideas?
