CBenson89 Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 Are these things supposed to be really meh? I feel like I employ them and their blast radius is really small and they do hardly any damage maybe I’m doing something wrong? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
sLYFa Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 I've also found them very disappointing. Maybe it has to do something with burst altitude but I don't think there is setting for that(or is there?) I remember them being quite effective though in LOMAC. i5-8600k @4.9Ghz, 2080ti , 32GB@2666Mhz, 512GB SSD
near_blind Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 Rockeyes are very dependent upon their velocity at burst height, and thus the angle at which you drop them. The shallower the drop, the more dispersion, the more effective they'll be. They burst at around 1200 ft AGL, I find I get my best results dropping in pairs using a 10-20 degree dive with a release around 4-5000 feet. Doing this I can reliably kill trucks and light armor (BMPs/BTRs). If RNGesus is smiling upon you, you might also take out a tank or two, but that's not as guaranteed.
CBenson89 Posted September 1, 2020 Author Posted September 1, 2020 So I guess CCIP dropping is frowned against you have to do computer target CCRP? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
near_blind Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 10-20 degrees of dive is perfectly doable with CCIP.
Mikeck Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Yep...just adjust speed and altitude to bring that pipper out in front
sublime Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 my father was a f4 wso and LOVED snakeeyes / rockeyes
Sealpup Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Yep...just adjust speed and altitude to bring that pipper out in front Or use the TCS as a bomb-sight ^.^
