Flappie Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Hi. I've played one of my "old" mission from 2018 tonight. To my surprise, the UAZ I was supposed to hunt down was not moving at all. I've then created a "new" UAZ next to it with the same directives: the new UAZ is moving. It seems there is an issue with UAZ units created some years ago. Am I the only one having this problem? MadDog-IC Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Hi. (happens both with current stable and open beta) I have had similiar issues in the KA-50 campaigns and single player missions with varying vehicles not starting to move when triggered, I can't remember which type of vehicles they were. The solution in my case was very random and difficult to pin point, it was a mixture of fiddling with the final waypoint of the vehicles path and or changing some of the advanced waypoint commands (Dispersion under fire=600) to (Dispersion under Fire=0) or (Dispersion under Fire=OFF) (They weren't under fire either). I belief the pathing waypoints are not plotted correctly (Play mission and select show paths icon to see all the waypoints and path along road), because in the mission "Ka-50 - Escort" the convoy had no waypoints or path showing at all, hence they did not move at all. Even when you fix the issue and it works, the path and waypoints are always missing the last waypoint, this was true of both ground units and aircraft. Regards, Ian. Flappie Posted September 17, 2020 Author Posted September 17, 2020 The solution in my case was very random and difficult to pin point, it was a mixture of fiddling with the final waypoint of the vehicles path and or changing some of the advanced waypoint commands (Dispersion under fire=600) to (Dispersion under Fire=0) or (Dispersion under Fire=OFF) (They weren't under fire either). I simply moved the last waypoint, saved the mission, then the UAZ started to move. No need to replace the bugged unit. Thanks a lot! The bug is still here of course, but it seems quite easy to fix old missions. On holiday
