F22-Raptor Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Hey, I'm new to these forums after discovering DCS about 8 months ago and been playing Lock-On: MAC for a few years. First of all I'd like to say how impressed I am with DCS even though i havn't even played it yet, though i do have a few questions regarding the game. 1) How come DCS hasnt developed higher graphics? I read that it was due to hardware restrictions but surely hardware such as 8800 Ultra's etc. could handle it if there was a setting for very high? 2) Is the game rumoured to be released in H2 2008? 3) Just a random question, how useful are rudder pedals? The cheapest ive seen them is $190 in Australia so i was wondering if its worth the investment. Thanks in advance

airea Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 If you have a wheel with pedals (the ones for racing sims), you can use the pedals as rudder when BS is released... Just connect your wheel with your joystick and assign the rudder function to the pedals... 1
F22-Raptor Posted April 5, 2008 Author Posted April 5, 2008 oh ok then, i only have a basic Logitech Attack III joystick with no attachments how about the Saitek X52 where it allows for the control of the rudder when turning?
