Log Book details - Shore landings, carrier traps day/night

I have seen discussion in the past on updating the log book to be more descriptive. Has this been added to a wish list? It would be nice to distinguish between shore landings and traps aboard, with further day/night counts.

Additionally, what about landing request comms updated to include request touch and go vs full stop?

In SC, if you try touch and go it gets recorded as a bolter.

Stay safe and healthy

Cheers

Tally: I see the degenerate commie who wants to ruin our day.

It's an easy in-sim tool to track personal accomplishments. Some people use it to simulate their virtual combat pilot career as a bit of role play. It's also an achievement tracker of sorts as it awards you medals, rank, etc.

This is a good one if one cares to keep a logbook outside the sim:

Why do people care about the log book?

There probably are too many reasons to list. Top of my head a few obvious ones might be immersion enthusiasts may want to track stats and keep up currencies. Those who are on multiplayer teams (squadrons) could track stats as done in ready rooms for friendly competition and necessary banter! Individuals may just like to keep for interest sake without going through creation and maintenance of some sort of tracking system.

Not a must have, but if there is even a log book at all it could be a little more detailed.

Cuz DCS is a simulator. In RL you have to document all your flights and for later its nice to read some statistics.

as long as the log book does not log anything happening in MP and stops recording flight time as soon as (i think) you engage autopilot in SP... i think it's not neccessarry to add more stats to it. Although it would be nice to have a more detailed log book. just my 2 cents.
