[FIXED] AJS37 Syria cold start mission - Traffic should be forced OFF

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Since this mission has two AJS37 taking off from a civilian road, traffic should be forced OFF in the mission to avoid collisions.

The hot start mission needs the same fix.

Tested in latest OB (2.5.6.55960).

(weird AI flight behavior by the way, but that's not the subject of the thread)

Are you able to take off in that mission without gear damage? No matter what I do, my left MLG strut gets stuck in the down position..

After modifying the mission so there's no civil traffic, I've tried 3 takeoffs:

Level 3 afterburner with pitch down applied: OK

Level 3 afterburner with no pitch down applied: OK

Level 2 afterburner with no pitch down applied: left gear damaged

Seeing at the road keeps going up and down, try shortening your takeoff (hence level 3 afterburner). I apply pitch down during most of the takeoff to keep the weight on 3 gears, not 2.

Thanks for testing. I don't want to derail this thread, but my Viggen piloting skills need work. I think my controls have something to do with it - the Viggen is the only aircraft where my warthog HOTAS has a slight right roll input when the stick is neutral, and the rudder is SO sensitive by default.
