Meyomyx Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 Familiarising myself with the A10 at last. After working out the full alignment requirement (and having success with deploying the GBU38), I now discover that a "long " press is required to pickle so I have a couple of unusable GBU38's on board. Cool - all part of the learning process! However, I now seem to have 2 GBU38's that I have "trashed" and 2 that report as being "Ready" - yet their status is coloured white. I can't seem to find out why (thus far). I've tried re-creating a profile and re-loading the weapons. Hmm. Still white. Anyone know why? I'm sure it's something simple. Back to scouring the manuals/guides :)
Ryanwtod Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 I believe there are some current issues with JDAMs and WCMDs that are currently being worked on
Puma Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 You should be able to release the other ones. They are burned because the short pressed started a single-use battery which cannot be recharged. Try selecting the station manually on the dsms with the adjacent button? Frederf Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 The launch process breaks a chemical battery. If you hurry you can use it again as the battery lasts a couple minutes or so. There is no way to recover a JDAM with a depleted battery in flight. I see the selected JDAM go from RDY to RETRY to RDY and then after a time to ABORTED. When the text changes to ABORTED the color changes from green to white. I can't figure out how to get into your state with 2 aborted JDAMs and 2 RDY but also white JDAMs. Can you share a track of this happening? When I have mixed aborted and ready JDAMs the ready weapons are selected green as normal and can be launched.
Scubamurph Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 With the the JDAM's that are not aborted (but still white) do they also show ALN RDY in the bottom line of text? If so, waggle the wings of the aircraft and they should go back to green and RDY. The other option is that you have selected a profile - either through DSMS or HUD and the two aborted bombs are affecting it. Try manually selecting individual JDAM's to see if that works.
