Drako_MDx Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 UBI has decided to give away LockON (FREE) if you buy Pacific Fighter. This is on the Main Page of UBI's Lock ON Site under NEWS.
eXor Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 UBI will soon be paying consumers to take copies  Avaritia bona est.
wasserfall Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Re: Talk about Adding Salt to the Wound UBI... Better idea, give us our money back :) Intel Core i5-9600K, Gigabyte Z390 AORUS PRO, 16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro, Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080 WINDFORCE 8G
DEChengst Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Look at it from the bright side. Getting LockOn for free may get them to buy Flaming Cliffs :) [sigpic][/sigpic] PDP, VAX and Alpha fanatic ; HP-Compaq is the Satan! ; Let us pray daily while facing Maynard! ; Life starts at 150 km/h
VapoR Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Look at it from the bright side. Getting LockOn for free may get them to buy Flaming Cliffs :) My thoughts exactly!! Maybe people who buy PF will like Lomac more anyway (as they rightly should!). Sales of FC should benefit ED much more than the $19.95 for Lomac (especially after Ubi gets their cut).
Guest ThomasDWeiss Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 BUBISOFT probably is the most callous publisher that I know - it is great that ED has chosen to make 1.1 available as a download, free from their interference.
Caretaker Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 Not necessarily a bad move for Lock On overall, as it can never hurt to get more people in contact with the game. BTW one of the most underrated features of 1.1: the Ubi logos are gone from all loading screens :P Caretaker ED Beta Test Team
BIOLOG Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 That's a bloody good point actually! The bird of Hermes is my name eating my wings to make me tame.
4c Hajduk Veljko Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 I also don't see anything wrong with getting more Lock On copies in hands of new pilots! Many software products gained popularity after they were given for free! Thermaltake Kandalf LCS | Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R | Etasis ET750 (850W Max) | i7-920 OC to 4.0 GHz | Gigabyte HD5850 | OCZ Gold 6GB DDR3 2000 | 2 X 30GB OCZ Vertex SSD in RAID 0 | ASUS VW266H 25.5" | LG Blue Ray 10X burner | TIR 5 | Saitek X-52 Pro | Logitech G930 | Saitek Pro flight rudder pedals | Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
Guest ruggbutt Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Do you have a link for that? I bought PF and I could give LOMAC to a friend.
