I was wondering about what device Matt you use in your videos?

I have Track IR 4, and when using it fsx for example, I often loose connection between track clip and sensor, and my view goes automatically to center. I see that in video #4 (navigation), your inckocpit view never goes to center? What is your setup?

You should not be loosing connection with the trackclip. The only reasons you are loosing connection should be the following.

 

 

1. You have not set the sensor up in a position to cover full range of movement of your head.

 

2. You have a backlight problem. Whereby, your sensor is picking up some light in the background which is confusing the tracking. (for instance. I have a window at the back of the room. I must ensure that this is totally blacked out or else it will show hotspots on my tracking (( which can be seen on the trackIR screen that shows you the tracking dots)))

 

Aside from that, you should not be loosing connection at all.

I think the most common problem is getting too close to the sensor.

Also if using a trak clip pro, then you need to position the sensor off to the side of the monitor, as the track clips LED's are way off center on the side of your head (it expects this configuration and calculates assuming off center rotations).

 

Open the trackir software, and have a look at the traking picture..move the sensor until it can cover all of the LED's movements when you move your head around (including and especially leaning forward!)..if your monitor is too close, then you might need to think about moving it back away (Occupational Health rules in this country say the screen should be no closer than full arms length away when sitting!).

 

You can also adjust the filters incase you have another IR light source somewhere behind you (ie a lamp)

I have a problem with TIR 4 on Vista 32 , but i found a solution, maybe someone else have the same problem... ::badmood:so i inform what i have done:

 

If i start BS with TIR 4 showing track's and all stuff on desktop, first "play" it's works fine, but for some reason if i restart mission or change to diferent menu, TIR4 freezes and doesnt work's.

 

So in options, check : Run Minimized : and that's all, it work's fine all time....:pilotfly::joystick:
