Changing gate colors

I have looked this up and found the same question without a real answer.

 

In the p51-d concrete jungle I would like to have the gates change color from green to say white after I pass through them. I'm having problems making sure I redo the correct gate when I have to circle around after missing one.

 

I've tried a bunch of things and nothing works.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

I stied the same mission and many others. I have not seen the colors change. What does change is the size of the gate when you get far away. If you missed one and know about where it is, you can fly away for a while and the missing gate will grow in size. As you get closer the gate will shrink to normal size.
