Just put together a standalone server for my brother and I to fly around in. Are there any simple free missions available to download?

Basically want 2 planes (F-16 preferably) sitting on the parking area, ATC/Ground crew available for rearm refuel and a populated target are would be great.

Tried Under the Fuzz, but I only end up in and invisible plane. Even choosing aircraft I know I have. :/

Attach your dcs.log to gather more clues about your problem. Both of you have the same issue?

Both yes.

Another map we tried (download from DCS user files), couldn't start jets manual or using the cheat. All I could do was open/close the canopy.

Hi,

I looked at the log but it didn't seem to belong to the Dedicated Server, may be it is from one of the client PC's. As you use the steam version, it wouldn't hurt to run a "Verify integrity" of the game files. Also, try to run without user Mods, like the Skyhawk.

Another thing to try would be to rename the /Saved Games/DCS/ folder, say rename it to DCS.bak .. then DCS will rebuild a default DCS folder so that you can be sure that no user Mod has been left.

Also it seems strange that you are running Open Beta but your Saved games folder is named as per the stable release, maybe you converted a stable into openbeta?

Sorry, my goof. Have attached the log from the server this time.

I did just leave the server and was able to cheat start the F-16 this time. I also recall last night when we were testing, that there was a faint, flashing pause symbol in the upper right of my headset view. I assume maybe it was waiting on something else to load?

Hi,

Im' sorry to say that I see nothing unusual on the Server log, the mission "4 MP Nevada Viper Training Day.miz" has a lot of scripting going on, but no errors that I can discern.

Maybe you could try a simpler F-16 mission, one with just two client slots and no scripting, so that you can start to discard possible causes .. if the simple mission works it would allow you to discard your client PCs as a cause.

It is a strange issue, wish I could be of more help, but MP errors are usually hard to pinpoint and not always repeatable.

Best regards,

Eduardo
