F16FLCS-SME Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 After the AUTOSTOP script finished: CMDS is on STBY. CH, FL and other CMDS switches are still ON. MIDS LVT is ON. IFF MASTER is in STBY. I expect the script to shutdown everything the same way I do after a flight.
ED Team NineLine Posted November 16, 2020 ED Team Posted November 16, 2020 Is this how you do it, or is this how its supposed to be done? Do you have information that this is the correct way to do this? Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
F16FLCS-SME Posted November 17, 2020 Author Posted November 17, 2020 This is how the script currently does it. IRL when a pilot is about to finish his sortie and transfer the aircraft to the responsibility of the ground crew, its the pilot responsibility to shutdown everything, including the O2 regulator. It is called "Safe for Maintenance". Leaving systems ON have the possibility of them working on the ground and emiting harmfull RF radiation that the ground crew can't even sense until they get cancer. Leaving the CMDS ON has the possibility of uncontrolled dispensing of flares which cannot be extinguished on the ground with any kind of known fire extinguisher until the flare burns out completely. Where I served, it happened twice and two ground crew personnel got severe third degree burns!!! The flare produced such an intense heat, it left a hole in the HAS concrete floor!
