Can't get mechanized troop transport working correctly

I managed to get a squad of infantry into an APC with the respective waypoint actions, but when they are disembarking (via the disembark action on the APC), they won't continue with their waypoint, but just stand there all lined up without moving.

 

What am i doing wrong?

In current 2.5.6 stable I even can't get them to embark the APC.

Is this also broken for ground units not alone for Helos?

yeah, they spawn too close and dont move because they are stuck in permanent collision with each other.

this feature was always really unreliable, it seems that now its gone completely (for the past year or so).
