pretty awesome though it looks way more similar than id have thought tho I dont know what I expected

idk why my keybinds all deleted but jesus christ what a PITA.

Anyways, had the hot trigger issue (ATTN IRON MIKE LOOK IN BUGS PLS) however after the pilot shot a missile it went away and we got several kills. And he trapped! he had only done so once before!

interestingly we couldnt get a compressor stall *trying* - i told him to jerk the plane all over and slam the throttles.. she wouldnt do it

However, ad I dont know if this is a bug .. but some things are acting a little wonky

the SC - we were def on the right freak.. wouldnt respond. also when we made the call the mom the pilot said state 15.8 and it was 2.9

also on the SC - we couldnt taxi after trapping. usually in the past you could start taxiing after a few seconds but we were glued. I had him raise the hook even. We couldnt move! NO idea whats up with that

But yes, very annoyed I have to remember what I really need bound for RIO and its been awhile as pilot so its less hard to remember but that too =//

 

still thanks HB, I like it and im glad you keep your promises unlike many devs.

to curious ppl - the pit looks EXACTLY the same RN. I will say the planes look newer though. the Bs look.. weathered. the As do look new. my pilot noted he felt it when he did the 'zone 6'

I didnt, but i could hear whumps with the AB and I saw a heat blur for the first time when looking rearward with the AB one in RIO. I bet it does an awesome dump and burn as the F111 had a spectacular one and it had the same engines.

I loaded my profile and it only loaded the axis, but none of the buttons on the virpil base, but the axis curves were gone and the game throttle would move with the physical throttle but the virtual kept "popping" back to the middle did some reason, so could not slow down enough to activate speed brake to enter the break for trapping.

So, I encountered this "issue" as well... when you load profile, you have to load your keyboard profile while you have the keyboard selected, the joystick profile while joystick controls are selected, throttle profile when throttle profile is selected and the rudder pedals when the rudder pedals are selected. It's convoluted, but there are four files in the F-14B section which load just fine onto the F-14A controls. Once I did all four in the correct place, the issue went away and I was able to fly as if I was using the F-14B.

Importing, a bunch of binding appeared, but they were all screwed up for my VKB as if randomly assigned. Very strange.

 

My best fix was to rename my saved files from <user>\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input from F-14B to F-14. They appeared for everything BUT my VKB stick, which were blanked on the buttons and the Z-axis (T-rudders) were set axis on throttle instead of rudder. I then manually assigned the stick functions (forgot the trim which I discovered when trying a Case I).

 

I trapped fine in the F-14B... also noticed the change in afterburner effect. Not the "whoompf" it would do before but a bit of a delay then hearing the F110 GE burners similar to before without that initial ignition sound. The TF30 does a popping noise.

 

And Supercarrier thinks F-14A is a Hornet. I called "Tomcat Ball" in Voice Attack and the communication was Hornet Ball. Also noticed on a cat launch (which I usually always do two traps, one launch on the Instant Action Supercarrier Case I), they didn't tell me to extend my wings and told me to raise my nose strut as if I was still a Hornet, but only for the F-14A. F-14B had it correct (except for the known wrong signal for kneeling).

i think im just.. im gonna leave it. I rebound yesterday. the thing thats the biggest hole is my RIO binds but you use sticks a lot less as a rio
