Jagged Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 I got "Shell32.dll & Rundll32.exe" runtime error stuck on my pc after being infected by a virus, so the only option is to re-install XP (or try Vista instead for more eye candy with DX10) would the old registry setting saves me from have to re-activated it again (I've used 4 out of 5 times of activation). I think I might consider to buy a CD version of FL, anyone knows a shop to buy it online (in USD)? or someone you know who want to sell it. By the way I'm living in Malaysia.
MadTommy Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 If you stick to WinXP i think after a re-install the registry backup should work on the rebuilt OS. However if you move to Vista, it will almost definatly not work. You can check the number of activations left by logging into the lockon.co.uk website (which always takes me two attempts for some reason) and going to the Files -> Downloads tab. If you should run out of the 15 activations, which you should never have to given the registration backup utility, you can then contact ED support for more. I recieved only 5...come to think of it, I only used the key twice, and was down to 2 when I gave that account away.

Jagged Posted May 28, 2008 Author Posted May 28, 2008 I received an email from LockOn admin a couple of days ago, stating that they might consider extending your activation limit if run out of one. Maybe you should send them an email regarding your predicament and hope for the best...

Tez Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 It seems I should make here some sort of "the official announcement". Each Flaming Cliffs serial number has 5 activations. When the limit of activations of your serial number will be reached, you should contact us for getting a new serial number. We will consider your request and give it to you. Gogamer.com has the CD version if you want it. No activations, you are just prompted to put your CD in the drive about once a week.
