NRG-Vampire Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 (edited) Well, I don’t want to look for reasons, however I would have a couple of "theories" for that, nonetheless you can/should upload those skins elsewhere also. Mediafire maybe ? TY Edited December 6, 2020 by NRG-Vampire

NRG-Vampire Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 (edited) Thanks, nice job However you don't need to save (4097 KB) the new textures as BC3/DX10 format. DXT1-4bpp-no-alpha is OK for the F-15C/E (2731 KB), what is lower in size (both on "disk" and in gfx-memory) Moreover: coz there are no alpha channels you can save the texture files as JPG (500-700 KB per 2K textures)... and DCS will use those properly. Actually when I was initially saving them, the compression was causing issues on the tails, they were very blotchy, so I watched a youtube video, tried it out and liked the results a lot better, so that's why there's a mixed back of .dds files.. The Tails I used the default texture template, and used the intel compression, the others I used nvidea.. Glad you liked them though. Oban Posted December 11, 2020 Author Posted December 11, 2020 What the fuck... suddenly all my Tail Bort Numbers have stopped working and I have no idea what's caused this, on both 494th packs, it's showing up now as missing textures.. extender72 Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 Hi, first great job for all skins, really good. second, I wanted to point out a problem that occurs when adding the tanks from the editor, I don't know why but the SIM loads a wrong file, it's not the original, I've never been able to solve it. The correct file is f15e_ptb.bmp.dds, you can also see it from your screenshots (that file is wrong) Can you fix this DCS error ??? Thank you. Cheers, Michele I dunno to be honest, as the line that's in the description.lua is the default one from the AI F15E. I will see what I can do though, I never really paid much attention to it in the past to be honest. AMD Ryzen 9 7845HX with Radeon Graphics 3.00 GHz 32 GB RAM 2 TB SSD RTX 4070 8GB Windows 11 64 bit
extender72 Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 It's a mistake that has always bothered me, I hope you can solve it. You have also corrected the fuel tanks but in the end the file is not loaded from the SIM. Thanks for answering me and for your help. Michele I might has resolved this, I have added the ptb files to each airframe, and changed the argument in the decription.lua from "true" to "false" so that it reads the folder file, and not a generic one.. Nothing I can do then, as the file I'm using was part of the PSD F15E template set, and the one I have should be over writing the default one..
