I've downloaded and installed (I believe in the right place but maybe someone will help here) the NTTR missions and targets by STUKA, 476 vFG - Air Weapons Range Objects, 14NOV19.

The missions come up OK so I figure I have those in the right place (in the saved games under USERS). I followed the architecture in the download and put the AWR Objects folder in the MODS folder by following the same sequence as in the download file, ie 476 vFG - Air Weapons Range Objects, 14NOV19, Mods, tech, then 476RangeTargets and put that in the tech folder of my main installation.

When I load the game now I get a message saying that the 476RangeTargets is not authorised and will be disabled. Do I need to break it down further and put individual bits in different folders?

Can someone please advise me what I have done wrong and how to correct this? I will admit to being a whiz with stuff on all the iterations of Microsoft Flight Sim and frequently helped people on that but I'm very new to the DCS world and really don't have a clue on where to put things in here. The only things I have managed to install are those I have bought and installed with the modules manager!

I've tried the Forums on the Sqn website but aparantly my login hasn't been activated yet and I'm not authorised to look at anything when I log in, not even the public stuff I can see without logging in.

Thanks

Most likely you have placed the Mod on the wrong path ..  the Mod folder should go into Saved Games/DCS/Mods/tech/ .. on my rig it looks like this:

Still doesn't work. Thanks anyway, I think I'll just ditch it.

dont give up so easily ... if you had the Mod on an incorrect path, then you have to remove it from that place... placing a second copy of the mod on the right place will not be enough, you have to remove the incorrect one.

As Snoopy says, it should be as simple as dropping the '476RangeTargets' folder from the zip file into C:\Users\xxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\tech

Alternatively, use OvGME to install it.

As a side note, I don't think there is any A-10C II in that mission, might be wrong though.

Could it be a win 10 permissions thing, sometimes I open folder security and put access to everyone and that fixes alot of things.

DCS is designed to work with Win 10 usual default permissions, if it didn't were that way then everybody would be having your same issues.

But if you are using your own custom permissions, then it's everybody's guess where is the origin of your problem. Sorry that I can't be of more help to you 😞

You misunderstand, I am not having any problems at all, I was suggesting Lee1 give it a try since it has worked for me in the past when I had other problems.

Sorry I should've made myself clearer.

There shouldn’t be any permissions issues with the user’s Saved Games folder.
