Borderline Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 Hello, I have a different audio set up in order to be able to record dcs on a separate track while recording; while the volume of the airplane and world is being record the sound of the atc/tanker comms as well of the RWR on the F16 C doesn't get recorded in the track, obs does not pick up those audio at all. Dcs and obs are recording from the same playback device but, while I do hear RWR and Ai comms, obs doesn't. If I add another audio track and select my physical audio interface (komplete audio 1) RWR and Ai comms are recorded. Any idea? Was I clear enough? https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHdX0sUUqJgqCASZxKsh2mw
Flappie Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 Hey, please take a look at the ingame Audio options. Check all highlighted parameters: ---
Borderline Posted December 7, 2020 Author Posted December 7, 2020 ok the issue was that I had Headphones on my physical audio interface instead of the device from which obs is recording which brings me to the question: what's the difference between main audio out and headphones? https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHdX0sUUqJgqCASZxKsh2mw
Flappie Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 I don't have a clue. All of this is recent. According to what you've experienced, maybe "Headphones" means "What can be heard inside the pilot's helmet"? ---
Borderline Posted December 7, 2020 Author Posted December 7, 2020 Same as I thought, while main audio is everything else. I'm curious if anyone has this on differente devices and why. Thanks again for your help Flappie! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHdX0sUUqJgqCASZxKsh2mw

Well, my thought was that it's for the following (which I'm toying with the idea if it doesn't upset my family)... Headphones - link to headset for 'in cockpit' sounds. Main Audio Output - link to Hi-Fi System with subwoofer, turned up LOUD to get that ambient sound and kick-in-the-stomach 'whop whop whop' sounds of the UH-1. Haven't tried it yet to see if this is what it's for - but if it is - I do like the idea even if my neighbours won't! ;) Edited December 7, 2020 by Dangerzone
Borderline Posted December 7, 2020 Author Posted December 7, 2020 I'm starting to look for an hi fi system as well, do you have any recommendations? Let me know how your idea turns out https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHdX0sUUqJgqCASZxKsh2mw
