Brainfreeze Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Hi, I noticed that my fuel level indicator panel is not working properly...the digital gauge showing the number of litre in the plane and total are working ok but the two vertical bars showing the same info visually are actually not working and always stay at 6k kg. Is this a setting somewhere or a bug on my station? Using latest beta and standard cockpit (removed all the cockpit mods) Thks i9 14900K / 64GB / RTX 4090 / Varjo Aero / Winwing Orion2 + F15EX / Virpil Wrbrd + Alpha Stick + ACE pedals
jojo Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 I'm afraid you didn't understood how the fuel system works. First, everything is in kg, not liters. Secondly, the vertical bars are only for feeders and x100kg, not x1000kg. As long as you have fuel in external tank, the feeders will stay full around 600kg. And your total fuel will be more than the feeders as long as you have more than 1200kg... Mirage fanatic ! But this behavior isn't simulated in DCS. IRL, with external tanks, level drops to 550kg then it's completed to 590kg and back and forth. Once external tanks are empty, the level drops to 480kg, then completed to 520kg and back and forth. Once below 2x480kg, it will continuously decrease. At 2x250kg = 500kg, you will have the "NIVEAU" amber warning. Mirage fanatic ! I7-7700K/ MSI RTX3080/ RAM 64 Go/ SSD / TM Hornet stick-Virpil WarBRD + Virpil CM3 Throttle + MFG Crosswind + Reverb G2. He added that the feeders bars going up and down is a way to check that fuel transfer works correctly. For instance if you have 2500kg of remaining fuel, and the feeders only go down, you have a fuel transfer problem. Edited December 9, 2020 by jojo Mirage fanatic ! Yeah, but I was referring to the fact that the feeders will stay at 590kg until you have fuel in both external (the two under the wings and the centerline) AND internal tanks (right forward, right wing, left forward, left wing and center forward).
