QuiGon Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 (edited) I would also like to know how the current status of the Phoenix is right now. I know how it should behave, but I'm not sure it actually does behave like it should. The TTI is way off and I'm not really sure when the missile goes active when launching in TWS. It seems like the missile sometimes reaches the target before the TTI has reached 16, when it is supposed to go active... I've also not yet seen a flashing TTI to indicate the missile has gone active. I've not launched too many Phoenixes since the latest OB update though, so maybe I'm just missing things Edited December 15, 2020 by QuiGon Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

Even shooting at 2 close targets. But tomorrow's update will be a critical one ... we've had to wait a long time with some major issues. Lets hope its a good one. Edited December 15, 2020 by Kula66
Raven (Elysian Angel) Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Yup, ironically my hit chance with Phoenixes at long range targets from high altitude (with Jester, and against AI) has been quite excellent: when I launch at around 35k ft and 60nm on a head-on target, I pretty much get a guaranteed hit even if the target dives to tree-top level, and that's in TWS-A. When I launch at targets 50nm or closer, the hit chance starts dropping dramatically. Even at 20-30nm I only get about 20-25%. Tomorrow should be fun :) Spoiler Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 96GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo DDR5-6000 | Asus ProArt RTX 4080 Super | ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING | Samsung 990Pro 2TB + 990Pro 4TB NMVe | VR: Varjo Aero VPC MT-50CM2 grip on VPForce Rhino with Z-curve extension | VPC CM3 throttle | VPC CP2 + 3 | FSSB R3L | VPC Rotor TCS Plus base with SharKa-50 grip | Everything mounted on Monstertech MFC-1 | VPC R1-Falcon pedals with damper | Pro Flight Trainer Puma OpenXR | PD 1.0 | 100% render resolution | DCS graphics settings Win11 Pro 24H2 - VBS/HAGS/Game Mode ON

I wonder if that makes a difference, because I always fly as a RIO myself and I haven't seen the TTI flashing. 11 hours ago, Raven (Elysian Angel) said: Yup, ironically my hit chance with Phoenixes at long range targets from high altitude (with Jester, and against AI) has been quite excellent: when I launch at around 35k ft and 60nm on a head-on target, I pretty much get a guaranteed hit even if the target dives to tree-top level, and that's in TWS-A. I always launch my Phoenixes at rather close distance (20-30nm), because that yielded the best results in the past. eatthis Posted December 16, 2020 Author Posted December 16, 2020 we had a nightmare last night on a mission, an unexpected wall of red air resulted in 19+ phoenix shots mostly 20 nm or less. 2 hit! we normally get 66-75% pk even when things get lively. my 2nd spawn i was greated witha wall of unknowns + 2 friendlies on the tid, jester didnt even iff them! 7700k @5ghz, 32gb 3200mhz ram, 2080ti, nvme drives, valve index vr
QuiGon Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Just tested again and I have had multiple Phoenixes reaching 16 TTI, but the indicator never started flashing on my RIO TID.
