Used latest stable version and bombs GBU-38 [mode=TOO]  on Target Kobuleti via Wpt2 [midpoint Rwy] when you designate the Wpt as Tgt it is difficult to find the X on the AG map radar because of color and brightnes of the X.Using EXP 2 and 3 looks OK but when you create a designation on the presented Rwy picture on EXP3  you can not hit that Rwy ,most probably because the presented airport overlay is not exact over the airport map position.So for IFR attacks is this AG radar so far useless! I also wonder why the AG radar heading  differs 7 degrees from the HUD and HSI heading,so if you fly 270 degrees on  Hud and HSI the Radar heading gives 277.Hopefully there is an update on the way with improvements.

There is a bug where aircraft movement between sweeps is not factored in to the designation. You can see for yourself.

 

Make sure you have a TPOD equipped and open on the left DDI so you can see where your designation is relative to an object. Make your designation. Now go to active pause and re-designate. Stay in active pause. Wait a few sweeps then do it 2 or 3 more times. Designation will now be accurate.

 

The same bug makes FRZ useless.

 

Already acknowledged on here. I was hoping they'd fix it before the end of the year so I could follow the TACMAN procedure on this but it looks like it won't make it among many other things.

Hello, thanks for your reaction,I tried to designate in the right DDI in my stable version on the intersection of Kobulet Rwy with several redesignations in active Pause.As you can see in the screenshot the designation cross should have been at the white arrow.The left DDI gave the correct diamond camera postion resuting in a full hit.I still have the idea that the EXP mode presentation has a fault in the airport presentation as well as an 7 degrees.fault in heading of the AGradar.

Here is a track showing the active pause leading to accurate designations. Notice a redesignate to force re-sweeps a few times. The first two times I do it, you'll see on re-sweep the 'X' is off position, as each time the radar sweeps when the AC isn't moving the map becomes more accurate. Once it's 'caught up', every designation I do is bang on.
