Malwarebytes Premium Edition Thinks DCS Latest Update Contains Ransomeware

Guys,

 

I just downloaded the latest update for DCS 2.5.6. When I run the game my MalWareBytes anti-malware software quarantines the game as RansomWare.  Has anyone else had this issue?  

 

This is the first time I have had this issue with a DCS update.

 

Need help. Not sure what to do.

It's not the first time that it happens, no worries.

Put the DCS directory and the Saved Games/DCS directory into Malwarebytes whitelist.

Some antivirus can be a little over protective, it is most likely a false positive, please submit the file to your antivirus provider for checking. 

if you are happy you can add dcs to your exclusion list.

Of course, I 'always' do but for goodness sake... can ED get this crap straightened up with major AV makers. 

Yesterday I had to move the DCS install to a different drive and before repairing the update was initiated. So far so good!  After the update, all hell broke loose with my firewall and AV. Well, understandable... the paths and links and so forth but the AV also told me that dcs update file had an invalid signature... still? It's been a while.
