Kerberos Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 (edited) Hi guys, With the latest latest DCS World Open Beta Version I have the problem that none of my control setups works anymore. The problem is that now the game is very strict with binding conflicts between the aircraft and the UI Layer. As an example you can see in the first picture i have bound shift+BTN8 in the UI layer. This will make BTN8 unusable in any plane as a modifier. I can still use it as a button but not as a modifier. This was possible in the previous version I wonder what the reasoning behind this was. This change is actually a big inconvenience for me because I am playing in VR with an xbox controller and it is really hard to map all the functions to the controller but I managed it and was working much better for me than with the X52. Does anyone have a related problem or am I the only one? (if anyone is wondering why i am using 'shift' in the UI layer so often: I mapped one of the xbox elite controller pedals to it, so its effectively also a controller button) Edited December 19, 2020 by Kerberos
Kerberos Posted December 19, 2020 Author Posted December 19, 2020 Well I guess I am just going to answer my own question: Since I am using reWASD anyway I can for example use the shift layers to map pedal+A to a keyboard input and just use that new in the UI layer. this way my setup would work as before, I just have to redo all the configs.
Flappie Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Hi Kerberos. This is kind of my fault, sorry. See here. A lot of users had conflicting controls but the game wouldn't tell them. I didn't know about your trick with the "part-time" modifier. ---
Kerberos Posted December 19, 2020 Author Posted December 19, 2020 Haha, no worries ;) I was just having a panic attack when all my controls were broken. But now my workaround is working perfectly and I only had to redo my UI Layer keybinds.
