[USER ERROR] JDAMs only works in TOO?

Hi Guys, I am very happy about the new update, UTM Coordinates and others things of course.😎

Today I tried to insert a new manual Record in the CAS page, using UTM coordinates. No problem doing that, but i can't release JDAM. 🧐

I have done everything correctly (at least I hope so):

- I have gone in CAS page, i have entered the UTM coordinates of my target (a bridge).

- i have entered the elevation in feet

- i have selected my IP

- i have selected my Egress

- i have saved the Record

- i have selected the USE and i have assigned the T1 to this record.

Now, MASTER ARM ON, Master Mode A/G, Fuze IN,

STRS page on left MPCD, i have selected the JDAM (J82), i have selected TGTS on ODU and then 1.

Now i'm ready to release my JDAM.

On EHSD page i can see the LAR, so I align myself with the target but, when i enter in the Maximum LAR, i can only see in the HUD the Center Dot, there is no LAR percentage in the middle of HUD.

I have tried to do the PRE-PLANNED (ATHS) mode (using marker in F10), but i can't release my JDAM.

Am I wrong or is it a bug?

Thanks

Djmitri

Try designate on the EHSD, see if that helps

Post a .TRK! that might help. In the pic, the DESG was not boxed as Dr. Zaius said.

You posted issues with PP mode on the main forum and I posted a Video and a TRK. Any of that help?

Seems the issue you have now is releasing..but

-In your pic you don't have any symbology on HUD but it looks like I can see the circles on the EHSD so most likely it is the DESG not being boxed.

-You are entering coordinates directly on the CAS page which I have never tried... but you said you couldn't get it to work using F10 either so you are doing something wrong. Definitely box DESG.

My Fault, I forgot to select the DESG on the EHSD. 🧐

thank you so much 😎

Confirm it is working for you now?

just to clarify, by designating a newly created waypoint you slave the tpod to it, and that again will slave the jdam to the tpods designation. what you are doing is TOO.

if your looking into PP mode (preplanned) you will either need to create Target Points in Mission Editor prior to flight (here again, preplanned) or by F10 Map (Mark Points ‚T01‘ ‚T02‘ and so on)

after adding the Mark Points you can add these to the CAS Page (see Chuck‘s Guide for key combination you have to press, think its RAlt + RShift + ‚8‘)

after that you can press the WPN button on the UfC and select your Tartet points via the ODU

the only difference to TOO though, is that you can do multi release this way. (up to 9 at once)

but seeing as its way more work and the use of F10 map is kinda cheating its not really worth it.

still waiting to be able to this on the fly

edit: after reading your post again if you assigned T1 on the CAS page you should be able to select it by pressing WPN(UFC) -> Target(ODU)

i will try this once i have the chance

edit 2: so i tried this at home, and after creating a new CAS page i was able to click use, select 1 for T1 and could then load this via the WPN Button.

going to try around with this a bit more. i do seem to have a problem though, as i cant use any coordinates that are east of YD (Syria map)

You can skip the f10 map by selecting different mark points for each target via the tgp, you may find the following link to be of use:

hey, i do use this sometimes. its good vs. stationary targets. the problem with this is to make bombs hit at the same time, or moveable units will move out of the way of the second and third  bomb, once the first has gone off.

Multi Release kind of helps with this a bit, if targets are close to each other.

i did try this at home, and i was able to create a new CAS page record, hit use, select it as T1 and use this Target for the JDAM.

going to try around a bit more, see if i can make multi targets work via the CAS page.

I don’t use the CAS page much however if you’re receiving a 9 line talk on then I can see its usefulness, although I don’t think the FAC we have can handle more than one target engagement at a time.
