Aluminum Donkey Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 Greetings, I'm using a 1440p monitor with Nvidia DSR set to 2x. Not only does it look awesome, but it allows much higher FPS than the in-sim MSAA or SSAA, so I really like using it! Problem is, it causes the sim to crash to desktop. Any ideas on how to fix it? I'm using Nvidia driver 460.79, on a GTX 1080 Ti (11 GB) if that helps. Performance is excellent, visuals are amazing, and the darn thing keeps crashing! I just went back to the in-sim MSAA 2x for now, which looks pretty nice on my 2560x1440 screen. I wonder if this will get fixed. It's an Nvidia issue, nothing to do with ED/DCS. Dangerzone Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 If you're playing other games I can understand that, but I'm running 442.19 until I hear that the issues brought in the newer drivers have been dealt with. (Although fortunately for me, I'm almost solely a DCS player).

AD GTX 10xx series works better with 442.19-442.74. Magic benefit of latest drivers with no latest gpu series is a placebo. Nvidia doesn't mind improving the experience with older gpu's. It's more stable and allows me to run my 1080 Ti full-tilt instead of downclocking, and it doesn't seem to crash anymore. Of course, only time will tell, but it seems pretty stable and has really good performance. Guess I'll find out eventually.
