philstyle Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 (edited) Is there a way to preserve the "coalition" status (red/ blue/ neutral) for airfields in a mission, even when ground units are located at that base? I have some airfields set to "neutral" at mission start. I wish for airfields to remain neutral, however any time a coalition ground unit is located on the field, it automatically becomes "owned" by that coalition. I don't want the airfield to become coalition owned, but remain neutral. How can I ensure this? Nalfeyn Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Just place the ground units next to the airfield. I really dont get the idea or sense of this. When a ground unit is located on an airfield this airfield is either owned by this coalition or allied.
Dangerzone Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 I have no idea if this would work - but would placing an invisible and immortal unit at the airfield keep it from being captured? As for neutral I *think* if it's owned by one team, and then captured by the other, and then the original owning team has a ground unit within proximity again - the airfield defaults back to neutral. Not sure if that could be used as some sort of workaround as well? (ie, at mission start, have it red, then quickly destroy red player, have blue occupy, and then have another red unit move back in again). Maybe if they're invisible it will still work like this? I have no idea if this would work or not - just throwing some thoughts out there.
