tohkai Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Hi! I have already opened this thread in multiple places and received a lot of input. I tried and verified everything told/asked to me. Nothing has worked. I have completed all the training missions, I have completed the first campaign in Caucasus with the mirage. I think I know how to do A/G with it (May always be missing something, hence "I think") I'm in M02 but it might have happened in 01 too - I actually don't know, since I didn't try bombing in 01. It might not work in ALL of the coup d'état missions. I can't. The piper never appears. I tried again in the training, followed the procedure, it works. I read the manual, I'm doing everything right. No diamond, no nothing, the HUD moves on the side. The procedure I use, that normally works: Weapon switch to neutral, master arm on, radar on, radar altimeter on, bombs set to INST. I set my quantity/interval as I wish. Weapons system FWD to set to A/G. Here, the piper/diamond should appear. It doesn't. ----------------------------- I'm in open beta. This will not change. All the good servers are Feedback that I got (and addressed) and things I tried on my own: - Run a repair (Done, doesn't work) - Verify INS is aligned properly: Done. the waypoints are in the right spots. I do it following the instructions in the kneepad, and I didn't mix anything up, it says North, East, meters - that's what I use. These coordinates are close to what is already in, likely because the plane was turned off on that same airbase. Fast alignment is not on. I did this in missions, I do this in multiplayer. I know the INS is good - Check TAS is on - already on by default when I select the bomb or switch to A/G (wpn fwd) - Check radar altimeter on: yep. - Create a mission in persian gulf with bombs and stuff, follow the procedure, see if the HUD cues appear: yes (so, it's not the map) - Asked ground crew to change weapons. I did NOT mix anything, I know the mirage doesn't like that. But... same thing for every A/G device. No cue for rockets. no cue for CCIP. No cue for CCRP. See picture for what the HUD looks like, after doing the procedure.

Rayak Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 Isn't your HUD in test mode ? The HUD power button is a three pos switch OFF/ON/TEST and it looks like you are in the last mode

The HUD power button is a three pos switch OFF/ON/TEST and it looks like you are in the last mode No, it looks like so because of the angle with my head tracking on this picture, but it's very much on the middle (I've restarted this mission a dozen times, and tried the same on other missions, I get the cues right on other missions, and never get it right on this one. That'd mean I somehow mess up and put it on test on this specific mission only ) Edited December 22, 2020 by tohkai

That's a reason why diamond is not appearing. I agree with Rayak, looks like HUD is in test mode (Speed and Altitude in big fonts and not aligned with heading scale, gun cross appearing whereas it shouldn't with bombs selected and MAG/CAN master modes not selected...). baltic_dragon Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 Guys, such things are not mission- specific (ie whatever I do I won’t be able to influence the aircraft itself, unless I introduce a system failure, which I didn’t do). In most cases such problems are caused by user error - and in this case I’d suspect that HUD is indeed in test mode For more information, please visit my website. Another reason why diamond is not appearing you're absolutely right, I was gonna say that you are wrong, but I was mixing it up with the radar altimeter. I have no clue how I could let that happen, and I guess in free flight everything was already set properly - and that's why I thought it was a persian gulf/coup d'état thing. I guess moving on to the FA18 for a few months completely made me lose my mirage habits. Well sorry and thanks
