Loading images with skin to User Files....

I don't know where else to post this question on the forums, so apologies if it's in the wromg section, but it's something that has bugged me for some time now:

 

When I upload a skin file to User Files and try to post screenshots to accompany the skin, the images get rejected if they are above 1mb.....as it says in the instructions...fair enough.

 

This means my screenshots are invariably jpegs that are 1024 x 768 to bring them in under the 1mb limit.

 

But I see other peoples screenshots and they are obviously much larger than this?

 

How does one post these larger screenshots with the skin file?

 

I'm obviously missing something.

 

Would someone be so kind as to point me in the right direction please as I am annoyed at the size of mine....screenshots that is.

I use photoshop and when I save them as a jpeg I use a lower quality

 

I'm not sure how it's done on other programs
