Native resolution / Open XR support?

Interesting, I've never seen it crash.  Literally never in several VR years.

Me too, crashing every time I run DCS.  My DCS is still running, but SteamVR Crashes, sometimes after 15 minutes sometimes longer.  Gives the following message: "SteamVR encountered a Critical error". WMR app and DCS are still running. Also experiencing the memory issue when exiting a mission, usually in Syria Map.

For me, the crashing started after version 1.15.15

So, just in the last week or so then? Still happening with 15.16?

Yes still happening, before Version 1.15.15 all was well, no crashing at all!!!  I am lead to believe that you can not roll back to a previous version of SteamVR.  I also have the Open XR programs installed.

Its more than just WMR and SteamVR when you launch them. Actual list of processes started by SteamVR is bigger. Working through my stutter issues when I had 3080 in, I had processes like VR Compositor, VR Dashboard, SteamVR Webhelper and finally SteamVr itself.

 

And Im not going to lie but fact that there are some settings that can only be tweaked from within VR environment instead of being right in the SteamVR settings is silly.

Ah, processes, that’s a different matter! 
Accessing some VR settings in VR doesn’t seem that silly to me. Which ones are you referring to?

They should be interchangeable. So you can access them from within SteamVr settings and inside of VR. I mainly refer to reprojection.

Maybe, but almost all (non DCS) VR game settings are done within the VR environment in my experience. 
I don’t see it as a big deal making VR settings in VR.
