ILikePlanes Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 ED Support said that it wasn't their issue and that I should be here instead so heres the message I sent them. Hello! Ive been having some issues with the f18 and the f16's TGP. When I use my throttles knob to zoom (which ive verified is working fine with 0 delay) DCS only responds to it about a second later and it moves extremely slowly. Is this by design or not? I would love if the display accurately reflected the zoom knob since that would make it incredibly easy to make adjustments. On another note, out of the 10 times ive taken off with the f16s TGP 9 of them would not work properly. Every time it wasnt working the TGP was 'jiggling' and would not let me lock any targets. This has made the entire targetting pod useless. I have lots of hours on the f18 and not once have I had this issue.
fudabidu Posted December 28, 2020 Posted December 28, 2020 The TGP will take about 2 seconds to fully zoom in or out. This is normal and also happens when using the keyboard commands. Can't tell you anything about the jitter, because I don't know which mode you were trying to use it in. The only jitter I've seen is in A2A, because the TGP doesn't slave properly to air targets yet. There might be some edge cases (ie taking off with TGP, but no A2G weapons and unable to change delivery mode), but I haven't tried those. Some more information are needed.
