Can’t open Chucks links for the Viper

 

Is there a deadzone?

 

Chucks Guide says 4 for the HOTAS are the Rudder Pedals the same

really depends on the hardware your using and the settings you have them at re: centre detent.  It also very much down to your own finesse and how much foot control you have / muscle memory.

 

So for example i run MSG Crosswinds and because they are super accurate i use a deadzone of 1.

 

As i general rule of thumb the worse the controllers are in terms of quality generally increases the centre deadzone.

 

Its the same for curves on the axis, good hardware means that you can reduce these to 0.  I think the only thing i have a curve on is the Gazelle, purely to try and get something more realistic.

I bind wheel brakes to CMS depress. It´s a 0-1 digital input so I lock tires a lot. However I find very tricky the movement, does applying wheel brakes create a turning momentum?? can the Viper only brake in straight line?
Even when I start from Senaki hangars, when I brake before turning to enter the taxiway, the aircraft seems to slide to one side. Is it something related to the nose wheel being single arm attached to the frame?
