RAZBAM_ELMO Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 Why are you attempting to launch from a destroyer? This isnt really a bug but a failure to load them onto a proper vessel. 1 Know and use all the capabilities in your airplane. If you don't, sooner or later, some guy who does use them all will kick your ass. — Dave 'Preacher' Pace, USN.
Buzzer1977 Posted December 30, 2020 Author Posted December 30, 2020 I tried to find all capabilities in the airplane, and the mission editor did let me place it on all kind of ships with a helicopter deck. So it's obviously a bug in the mission editor. Absolutley right on Buzzer, if you want to take off from the deck of a destroyer and the ME allows you to do so then why not, just because somone doesn't think its operationally a sound thing to do that shouldn't deter you from flying the sim how you want to fly it. 1 System Specs: Intel Core i9-9900K 3.6GHz @ 4.8GHz, Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master, 32 GB G.Skill Trident Z DDR4-3600 RAM, GeForce GTX 4090, Crucial SSD (2TB), TrackIR 5, TM Throttle, VPC WarBRD Stick, TM T-Flight Rudder Pedals, Samsung 49” Odyssey G9
needaname Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 (edited) Not only is it operationally valid, it's one of the first things they tried with the original Harrier in 1969: Edited January 8, 2021 by needaname 1 2
RAZBAM_ELMO Posted January 13, 2021 Posted January 13, 2021 As the ships are not part of our assets, this is not a RAZBAM issue but rather an ED issue. Marking as ED ISSUE and moving to RESOLVED.
