kwjorders Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 Hello, I have a CH Products Combatstick which was working fine but now I believe after turning the game on game mode instead of simulation none of the buttons I mapped work any more just the default ones do. I have turned it back to simulation but this does not work either. I have remapped the buttons but they do not work. Does anyway know of a fix? Everything was working correctly but now I cannot play my game with my joystick because only two of my buttons work and I will not play this game with just keyboard and mouse. -Thanks
LeCuvier Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 Maybe you should delete all the "...diff.lua" files under "...\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\Input\P-51D\joystick" and start from scratch. Make sure you select "P-51D Real" (not "Easy") when you bind your buttons and axes. kwjorders Posted January 18, 2021 Author Posted January 18, 2021 I cannot find a P-51D folder just aircraft, in that folder is a base_joystick_binding.lua and common_joystick_binding.lua should I delete these?
Art-J Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 The files LeCuvier mentions are located in C:\Users\[your user name]\Saved Games etc... (this is where the game stores all your settings), not in the main game folder. Deleted them and the game will return to stock control bindings. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
kwjorders Posted January 24, 2021 Author Posted January 24, 2021 I figured out the issue but still cannot fix it, I am playing the high stakes campaign but it is stuck on easy that is why my joystick mappings were not working. Now though I have tried to restart the campaign on normal but cannot, it seems to be stuck on easy. -Thanks
LeCuvier Posted January 25, 2021 Posted January 25, 2021 I'm not familiar with that campaign, but maybe the mission that you are flying has game mode or game avionics activated in Mission options. That would override your general option settings and put you in game mode. Have a look at the mission options! kwjorders Posted January 29, 2021 Author Posted January 29, 2021 I am still having issues with the campaign being stuck on “game mode”. I started the game on another computer and had no issues at all. My main gaming computer is not letting me play on simulation mode and there are no game play settings in mission options. I am really frustrated at this point because I was planning on using this campaign to improve my flying skills. I switched to game mode started the mission then exited put it back in simulation mode and the only thing that changed was being in 3rd person in game mode and first person in cockpit in simulation mode but the map is still shown in top right. Hoping someone can help me here don’t know what else to do.
Art-J Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 Wait, the top right thingy indicates "game avionics mode" turned on in game options, which is a separate factor from "game flight mode"? Do you have both of them set to off? i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
kwjorders Posted February 1, 2021 Author Posted February 1, 2021 I turned game avionics mode off and that solved the issue, Thanks
