Fuelburner Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 I have some issued with the replay. TRK files are corrupt many times. When do we get a functioning replay player with a rewind option ?

rob10 Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 Do a forum search. It's been discussed many times and the short version it's not coming any time in the next 2-3 years (and likely much longer). ED have included it as a debug tool basically (it records the inputs and replays them, it's not meant to be a precise "recording" of the flight) so they aren't going to change it any time soon.
ottomatic Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 If ED is not going to fix the replay bug and it's not "meant" to be an exact replay of your mission, then they need to rename the feature to something else. I just saw this post and didn't know that "Replay" meant that it's only a record of my inputs. That does explain a lot though. I absolutely love DCS and have many hours in it. They need to rename the feature to "input replay"... Or something similar. This 'bug' is frustrating when you think you can see your missions after you fly them only to discover that's not the case.
rayrayblues Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 Even if they do fix it, rewind will not be available. A proper replay system would recreate the mission exactly using commands stored on your computer and on their server. It is not a video file so rewind is out of the question. It would be like trying to play the game backwards. Can't be done. SLAVA UKRAINI MoBo - ASUS 990FX R2 Sabertooth, CPU - AMD FX 9590 @4.7Gb.
