Poor man's stream deck suggestions?

Since i can not afford a stream deck, i am looking for a solution for a button box/pad for mainly f-16, f-18 UFC functions.

I have a cheap numpad but my pc and dcs doesn't see it as a seperate usb device but same with my keyboard. 

I found this keypad, they say that it doesn't interfere with the keyboard and can be programmed seperately. 

I am also open for other suggestions, how do you deal with it?

A cheap tablet and Touch Portal app might do the trick for you.  Works with phones as well but that would be a small display.

The Touch Portal app is cool.. I had not heard of it until this post..  Thanks!

 

For UFC and Panels of many planes in DCS I have also been using DCS UFC (Android app). 

The developer is very active, always adding new features and participating  in his Forum Thread... etc..
