"REQUEST NVG" / "REQUEST LAUNCH" / "HORNET BALL" Commands not working.

Hi Folks,

I have a little Problem with some commands on the Supercarrier.

For Example "REQUEST  NVG" is answered by the crew chief with "REARMING COMPLETE". No NVG is installed.
"REQUEST LAUNCH" and "HORNET BALL" are recognized but have no effect.

Of course, I have the "Realistic ATC" module and the option is checked.

I have reinstalled VAICOM-Pro. Have make a repair of my DCS Openbeta Install.
I have deleted all VAICOM-Folders and I have done the "FINISH" Process. No Joy.

I have attached some Log from the simple training mission.

II have found some threads here in the forum. But nothing works for me.

All other commands are working fine.

Maybe someone have a idea what can I do else?

Thanks for help.

I have just tried on my rig and cannot get a response to Request Launch. [EDIT: Having re-read the DCS Supercarrier operations guide again (https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/upload/iblock/3f9/DCS_Supercarrier_Operations_Guide_EN.pdf), Request Launch only works if you have landed and then want to take off again straight away]

Having launched I then flew a case I (or at least attempted to as I haven't touched the Hornet in months 🥴) and Hornet Ball worked fine for me.

I then changed the weather to 0 visibility and, having called Marking Moms was able to get Established, Commencing etc to work in spite of my terrible flying

Other users have also had issues with Request NVG so not sure what is happening there

Ah ok. "Request Launch" an "Salute!" are not the same. My fault: Vaicom Manual:

"Salute!" is not recognized, due to my speaking (I'm German 😉)

But "Request NVG" and "Hornet Ball" not working properly.
All other commands ("Commencing, See you at ten",..) are working fine.

Does the log show that Hornet Ball is recognised as a command?

If not, either try training that command some more or add an alias that it can recognise (you can also do this for Salute). To add an alias:

1. Open Vaicom config and go to the EDITOR tab
2. Select the command phrase you wish to create an alias for and click ADD NEW. This should give you a copy of the command with 1 at the end (e.g. copying Test case would give you Test case1)
3. Click to place the cursor at the start of the phrase (so before the T of Test case1), type in the new name you want in front of the old text and then delete the old text. e.g. To change Test case1 to New command you would click to the left of the T, type New command to get a string reading New commandTest case1 and then delete Test case1 to be left with New command
4. Do this with any other commands you wish to add aliases for
5. Press the FINISH button and follow the instructions to add these to the VA profile

Also, if you haven't already done it there is an option in the Windows speech recognition settings to recognise non native accents

Hope this helps

Ok, Thank you.
I added  "Hornet Ball" in the speech Dictionary of my Computer. Now it is working.
The same with "SALUTE".

Is working fine now, except "REQUEST NVG". I think this can be a bug.

I can confirm that request nvgs is not working. I get confirmation and rearming notification but no change. I have made the mistake of doing while canopy is shut which I had to open but still not changed over. Is this just viacom? Or DCS as all commands seem to be acknowledged properly.
