Land0 Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 (edited) From what I gather a lot of the navigators job was to keep his head on a swivel and in particular ensuring there were no fighters diving on the six o'clock position. I would like it if ED could give the navigator (when not crewed by another player) at least very basic functionality such as calling out enemy aircraft that they see/detect. "3 o'clock high!" etc. In much the same fasion as Jester on the F14 does - but I'm not expecting anything anywhere near as complex as Jester. Edited February 5, 2021 by Land0 spelling 10
Seaside Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 Gona need something like this or the pilot wont see much. Also hope they visually model the navigator. 3
Mr_sukebe Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 OP, that's a great idea, was just thinking about this whilst walking the dog. Struck me that useful actions could include: - Calling out enemy aircraft - Navigation to pre-planned points, maybe even to markpoints added to the F10 map. Also the use of the more complex nav aids that the aircraft has - Operation of the radios - Telling the odd joke 2 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat
Seaside Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 They seem to have gone very quiet about this feature sadly. 1

It has been many months since anything significant has been announced or patched in WWII. We don’t know about any modules in development and the Mosquito “early access” status has not advanced in ages - no navigator AI, no pilot models, no Very pistol, no response regarding reduced performance that matches a model with saxophone exhausts and flame shrouds which is not what we have. 1 “Mosquitoes fly, but flies don’t Mosquito” :pilotfly: - Geoffrey de Havilland. ... well, he could have said it!
