DutchCoolHand Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 (edited) OK i want to see if the combined brain power here has an idea of how to solve my problem. I have been using the USB-C port on my RTX2070 to connect to my Quest 2. Problem I have is that after 20 -25 minutes the connection gets interrupted. I can reestablish the link but the I don't get the view of DCS back in the headset. I "solved" it by connecting thru the USB-C port on my B450F motherboard. It worked although the connection thru the 2070 seems better. I changed a bunch of the link settings to see if that had an impact. Not that I can see. I got a new CPU this week (Ryzen 5 5600x) with a new motherboard. A GIGABYTE B550 AORUS PRO AC ATX. When connecting the USB-C to the MB gives me a really crackly Edited: stuttering sound in my headset. Secondly, I can hear the engine sounds but not the radio calls??? Connecting to my 2070 still causes the lost link problem, but good sound. Any ideas? DutchCoolHand Posted February 8, 2021 Author Posted February 8, 2021 Ok update, I found out that the VirtualLink port had/has stability problems so it just doesn’t work well. I got the sound to work better by re installing the sound drivers. AMD RYZEN 7 2700 / 32GB / RTX2070 / 500GB M.2 with Windows and DCS / 2 - 500GB SSD / Rift S/ TM Warthog with F18 stick and Virpil WarBRD / Foxx Mounts/ MFG Crosswind rudders + 3 MFD's | Now enjoying VR with PointCTRL controllers + Gamematrix JetSeat
Cheb44 Posted February 14, 2021 Posted February 14, 2021 yeah same problem, and all I can tell is the Vlink on the 2080 just isn't working out. I ended up buying a USB-C card that will hopefully fix my problems.
