Setting Laser Code on bombs to something other than 1688

I did a search and am trying to figure out if they have added the feature where you can change the Bomb's laser code i the F16.  I have seen a few things where it says it is not a feature yet in the F16 and you should set it in the Mission Editor with the code you want.  Once in jet you set the new code from the DED to match

So just wanted to make sure I am not missing the steps that may have been added by now where while you are in the jet that you can change the code on the bombs themselves to something other than 1688 and then update code match in the DED

You can set it in the kneeboard while you are on the ground. (R-shift + K) I think the engine needs to be off too iirc

After that you need to change the code with use of the ICP to match the one you set on the bombs. There is no way in the F16 to change the bombs code inflight

You can just click and drag them or use Kneeboard Builder and it'll set it in whatever spot you want every time.
