Adding the AGM-45 Shrike

I'm trying to add the AGM-45 to make this into a makeshift SEAD aircraft, and I've gotten the Shrike onto the pylons but can't get it to fire. Is there something extra that needs to be done since it's a new weapon type as far as the sim is concerned?

 

edit: I've also tried the Sidearm from the Harrier on the wingtip rails and nothing there either.

The F-5 specific WEAPONS.LUA needs editing to enable the particular pylon to recognize the new weapon class.

But it's locked behind ED's encryption.

The only way I could imagine it to work is to modify one of the available sidewinders parameters to that of the shrike.

That's doable.

However after that you need to tell the aircraft that this "sidewinder" can be on another pylon.

That's probably not doable, I already tried that some 2 years ago as I wanted to try it with 4x AIM-9.
