tflash Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 It seems to me Lockon:FC offers the possibility of yet another kind of gameplay, that to my knowledge is not often done. The idea is that you make a single player game, and design a tactical situation. You assign a target and a flight to use. The player then has to plan, using the mission editor, the best route, armament, fuel etc. to be able to achieve the mission goal and land safely. You then record a track proving that you can succeed the thus planned mission, and post the track together with the mission including the full mission route. It seems a kind of gameplay that could become more relevant in DCS:BS. Of course the original mission designer can put in a lot of known and hidden threats to make it somewhat though. I added an example mission to show what I have in mind.Mission Planning game.zip 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Highwayman-Ed Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 I'd love this idea if the ME we're a little more flexible, and you could hide the things that you didn't want to be seen propperly... Let's hope DCS has this ability, but it's a great idea. Boneski Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Did something like this back in the Flanker days with my World Squadron Program... It's a great Idea... Back then not many people did much online stuff... I have been thinking about bring that stuff back on line... My mission is to fly, fight, and win. o-:|:-o What I do is sometimes get a tin of soup, heat it up, poach an egg in it, serve that with a pork pie sausage roll.
