DesertSaker Posted February 26, 2021 Posted February 26, 2021 I tested this with both high- and low-drag bombs. The HUD does not display any aiming indicators when the trigger is un-safed in NAV/Bomb Plan. The HUD stays in navigation mode, with no bombing symbology. An M-point is selected. Unless I am mistaken, NAV/Bomb Plan is the mode to be in when trying to level-bomb CCIP. This was tested on a multiplayer server with a cartridge made in the F10 map, and in singleplayer by another user.

DesertSaker Posted February 26, 2021 Author Posted February 26, 2021 4 racks of slick bombs, 2*RB24J on the wingtips, and a centerline tank
Machalot Posted February 26, 2021 Posted February 26, 2021 (edited) (From memory...) You can't use CCIP mode with slick bombs. Only with high drag. CCIP = High drag bombs + BOMB PLAN + NAV + Trigger unsafe If you want to drop slicks in BOMB PLAN that is called Level Bombing, and is done in ANF instead of NAV. Level bombing = Low drag bombs + BOMB PLAN + ANF Are you sure you tried it properly with the high drag bombs? DesertSaker Posted February 26, 2021 Author Posted February 26, 2021 Ok I just tested the hi-drag, they work. My friend must have done something wrong when testing them. However I have a kneeboard that suggests that low-drag bombs can be dropped CCIP, is this not the case? My apologies in advance, I just thought that I had previously used this method for low-drag release.

I think I know what kneeboard you're talking about. I don't know why it's set up that way. As far as I know: Direct release = Low drag bombs + BOMB PLAN + NAV + Trigger unsafe Direct release provides no sighting information, it is intended for release in formation flight using an external queue for trigger down. randomTOTEN Posted February 26, 2021 Posted February 26, 2021 I think he might have misread the kneeboard (I'm pretty sure I have the same mod).

Yeah, if it's this popular set of kneeboards, then it does not say you can do CCIP drops with low drag bombs. "Subsonic is below Mach 1, supersonic is up to Mach 5. Above Mach 5 is hypersonic.
