Hello! - So I just recently started play DCS, and love it so far, but the only module I have bought is the AV-8B - (and I love it!)

I would love to get my hands on the F-16 and the F-18, but  the prices are a bit too steep for me right now (even though they are products worth the money!)

I can see that I started playing DCS one month late with the february sale ending just before I started :( - So how often is there sales like that? and do single modules come on sale on their own once in a while?

Best regards Martin.

Hi,

Sales are a few times a year, every 3 month or so I would say. Similar to steam (and around the same dates).

Collecting the modules can become a habit (sigh) and picking them up whilst on sale is reasonable to keep the cost at bay.

Usually the sale will be for all modules but with different percentages ...very new modules may be excluded.

Give the WW2 stuff a try to. In regards to the actual flying, they are a lot more rewarding.

p.s. on a side note: Owning more modules can be quite distracting. If you want to dive deep into the systems of the Harrier, you should wait with the F-16 and F-18.

And I would go with the 18 first. It can do pretty much everything and is in a far later state of development than the Viper.

Have fun, fly safe!

Sales occur approx. every 3 months or so (Spring, Summer, Autumn and Christmas/New Year).

Individual modules rarely go on sale separately apart from an initial "pre-order" discount and then occasional "package" bundles i.e. the Hornet + Persian Gulf Map (40% discount), Helicopter Bundle (Mi-8, Huey, Ka-50 and Gazelle - 65% discount).

A break to this pattern are ED's recent Early Access discounts for the P-47, Channel Map and Syria Map - where the incomplete EA module continues to be offered at a discounted price (20% discount) for a short while after release (until more feature complete/bug free).

So with a bit of luck, late may we might see another sale?

Well, added some modules for my wishlist and will keep an eye out 😉

Thanks for the help
