Greg504221 Posted March 20, 2021 Posted March 20, 2021 Hi all, I recently upgrade my computer. I upgraded to the i7, Asus 490-A motherboard, 128g of memory and the Asus Rog Strix RTX 2080Ti video card. DCS World isnt beaving correctly!! DCS, takes forever to load and I don't understand why? DCS worked perfectly with a 980 Ti vidieo card. I don't get it!!
StevanJ Posted March 20, 2021 Posted March 20, 2021 Turn your settings to low, with lowest possible preload radius reboot, and get into game.. Turn your settings to high, with highest possible preload radius reboot, and get into game.. If theres a big difference in load times, its your settings- If there isnt, its your rig. Just to add, im on an i9- 2080ti 16gb ram, it takes 4-5 minutes to get into a game for me.. When i installed this on an i3, with 8gb ram, and an rx580, it took less time to boot.. Both in VR.
Hiob Posted March 20, 2021 Posted March 20, 2021 (edited) Have you installed it on a non-system ssd? edit: loading in a new map for the first time does take longer due to decompressing/compiling shaders and textures or something like that... Flocke.LE Posted March 20, 2021 Posted March 20, 2021 Maybe too much RAM? 128GB RAM makes hiberfil.sys + pagefile.sys quite large. Give it a try with 32GB or 16GB RAM. -------------------------------------------- i7 12700F | 64GB | RTX 4090 | Asus Z690-P WIFI D4 | 2TB SSD
Hiob Posted March 21, 2021 Posted March 21, 2021 16 GB will impact performance... 32 GB is ok (kind of the sweet spot I guess) 64 GB works for me without any problems 128 GB don't know. could be an issue...
