Avio Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 I have been flying the F5 on and off for some years now and love it. But I noticed the attitude indicator sometimes seems to be inaccurate -- sometimes at high speed, the gauge shows a slight right bank, when the jet obviously was flying straight and level. But at other times, the indicator does seem to show correctly. Anyone else noticed this? I do not have any such problem at all with other jets like the A10C or the F16.
Scotch75 Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 Yes, I think being an older "steam driven" aircraft, the gyro will topple or accumulate inaccuracies, especially after manoeuvring. So after a while of straight and level flying, it should right itself, or you can do a HARS "fast erect".Cheers!Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk 3 W10 Home 64Bit, Intel Skylake I5 6600K 3.50GHz, ASUS ROG Stryx Z270F MoBo, 64GB G.Skill RipJaws V DDR4 3200 RAM, Samsung 960 Pro 512GB M.2 SSD (OS), Samsung 850 Pro 512GB SSD, 2TB Seagate SDHD, 2TB WD Green HDD, Gigabyte 3060 12GB VRAM
Sacarino111 Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 Hi. Scotch75 is right; after some time or " hard" manoevers, the gyro will drift and show errors. Fly as traight and level as you can and pres and hold HARS fast erect for a second or two and release and all should be as intended. Saludos. Saca111
