C3PO Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 (edited) Is there a way to export video at say 1440p 60fps to disk as a normal video, while still using VR at the bespoke resolutions. Is there something techically that prevents this from happening? Just to be clear, don't want to export what's generated by the headset (ie not the two images side-by-side), but a normal 1440p60 video in addition. I use nVidia Share BTW... speed-of-heat Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 you could record from the WMR mirror? or another approach would be to fly in VR, record the track and then record from the track play through in 2d? I dont really do that so i am just guessing 1 SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat
InfinityWingman Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 There is a technique where you can "overscale" the video resolution of the monitor that displays the DCS VR to 4K and then do a screen capture. This can be done in the NVidia CP in adjust size and position. This has worked better for me fps-wise over using VR mirrors, etc. You only capture one eye, which can make things look shifted, but for me it's smoother than other methods. 1 ASUS Z390 / Intel i7-9700K / 32 GB DDR4 / 1080Ti / HP Reverb 2 / Thrustmaster WH&TPR Heath and Allen Zedi8 / TrackIR / Momo USB monitor / Akai MPD218
