widen76 Posted December 1, 2023 Author Posted December 1, 2023 @Rudel_chw Thank you! I'm also looking forward to getting the English translation finished Well, it's about 90% done, the flight diagrams are still to be translated. Then some cut and paste and we're done! 2
widen76 Posted December 6, 2023 Author Posted December 6, 2023 (edited) Well, Christmas comes early this year! The english translation of ATIS37 is now done, including the flight diagrams. The documents can be downloaded here. The translation should be 99.99% correct, although there were a couple of abbreviations I didn't know even in Swedish, so I left them as is. In some cases I have added the Swedish translation for reference in parenthesis, such as "dual command (DK)", or "Solo (EK)", which should make cross referencing easier. For you Swedish guys, I have also fixed quite a few typos in the Swedish version, so please re-download if needed. So looking forward, what's next? Well, I will take timeout for the rest of the year. However, I'm seriously considering embarking on translating SFI Part 1-2. In fact, they have already been run through the AI translator. But I will consider if it's doable, especially regarding the text inside the images. We'll see what happens in 2024 Anyway, I hope you enjoy the english ATIS37! All the best! TOViper Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Uff, that is a bunch of work mate. Seems like Viggen lovers, like you, spare no effort when it comes to making the Viggen- world more understandable and accessible. 1 Visit https://www.viggen.training ...Viggen... what more can you ask for? my computer: AMD Ryzen 5600G 4.4 GHz | NVIDIA RTX 3080 10GB | 40 GB 3000 MHz DDR4 DUAL | SSD 980 256 GB SYS + SSD 2TB DCS | TM Warthog Stick + Throttle + TRP | Rift CV1
widen76 Posted October 25 Author Posted October 25 Thanks TOViper, a fine complement from the Master Of The Docs It's true, I love the Viggen and have since 1986 when I saw my first JA-37 at an airshow. It's just pure raw power, the sound, the visuals, it's all there! It sure left an impression I was also a conscript on the SK-60, but when visiting F10 Air Wing at Ängelholm, we got to watch up close an actual AJS 37 doing the "before engine start" - "start engine" and taxi out procedures, so cool! I'm also building plastic kits, have built a couple of Viggens, but there are more to come. That splinter camo is no joke I tell you! 2
