Spent the first few hours after the download playing with all the settings. Even tried out the weather settings but I think the cloud templates and the weather generator are still two different things. I still have more flying to do, like a sunset or sunrise.

 

Will be interesting looking for targets in a landscape with scattered shadows.

That look pretty nice. Very realistic clouds and sky in general.  Dont think it gets better than that. Certainly a lot better than in a commercial level D sim I have to fly every 6 months.

My dad who flew jumbos for BA always moaned about the visuals in their simulators too - and also how they never really felt like the real thing.

Yes, I'm hugely impressed and can't wait for the Vulkan / Multi-Core improvements this year to further boost playability. I might even try VR then!
