cloudkake Posted April 16, 2021 Posted April 16, 2021 (edited) Hi Guys, in 2.7 i start up as normal and when switching to NAV on the INS i now get nothing but the compass at the top of the HUD. Has something changed or am i missing something really stupid? All warning lights out etc.. Has something changed in its preflight config since the 2.7 update im missing? Thanks. Ramsay Posted April 16, 2021 Posted April 16, 2021 Can you post a track, AFAIK nothing much has changed with alignment other than than the need to use WP 1-20 for the initial alignment i.e. • enter initial co-ordinates and altitude into PREP 20 • validate to start the alignment • switch to Nav mode once complete i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440
cloudkake Posted April 16, 2021 Author Posted April 16, 2021 I always used pre-aligned mode. I can see it says "fast alignment' in the special menu now, does that mean this has changed? (sorry im lazy!) GTX 1080Ti, i7 8700@4.4Ghz, 16Gb DDR4.

Steph21 Posted April 16, 2021 Posted April 16, 2021 (edited) there's a new option (that has replaced the old one) to enable in the special option to allow ALCM on waypoint 00. If not enabled, you'll have to do a full alignment. ALCM has to be performed with this option enabled, you can't start anymore without any alignment EDIT: from the 2.7 update sticky post The “INS is always aligned” checkbox in the special option menu of the mirage have been replaced by a “Fast alignment (ALCM) ready” checkbox. With it checked, you will now need to do at minimum an ALCM before moving the aircraft for your INS to work and you can start the ALN or ALCM on the BUT 00 as the aircraft did not move since the last time it was stopped.
